Berlin’s life drawing scene, with its diversity, strong female-identifying presence, and inclusion of sex workers, is a miracle and a treasure. I am so grateful to work and draw in this city alongside my colleagues!
The Schwules Museum is bright and welcoming, and the days’ events were a celebration of International Whore’s Day. So many wonderful sex workers were in the house, proclaiming their identity and power, demanding examination of their humanity. And the live art was amazing!
Actress, activist , filmmaker and workerMarianne Chargois performed The Golden Flux, a live experience piece about urophilia and sex work. It was an extremely beautiful and exhilarating work – the crowd absolutely cheered as the clouds of steam rolled out into the room.
